Emergency Medical Services Division
The Lombard Fire Department provides comprehensive advanced life support services to residents and visitors to the Village of Lombard and the Glenbard Fire Protection District. This service is provided with a combination of paramedic ambulances and paramedic-equipped engines and ladder truck. The Emergency Medical Services Division is lead by Battalion Chief Ray Kickert.

Emergency Medical Services Staffing
The Lombard Fire Department utilizes cross-trained firefighter/paramedics. The department currently has 57 Illinois Licensed Paramedics and 7 Emergency Medical Technicians under the medical direction of Dr. Valerie Phillips, Project Medical Director for the Good Samaritan Hospital Emergency Medical Services System.

The department provides 24-hour coverage with two Mobile Intensive Care Ambulances.  When these ambulances are being utilized and additional calls for service are received, the Advanced Life Support Fire Engines and Ladder Truck are dispatched along with a mutual aid ambulance from a neighboring town. With this staffing, we are able to deliver service within the six minute national response standard 90% of the time.
