Village Share of Property Tax

2015 Board Approved Property Tax Levy
On November 5, the Lombard Village Board of Trustees adopted a residential tax levy increase of $134,720 or 1.54%. Based on the total estimated EAV along with the number of households in Lombard per the most recent census, the Village’s share of the tax bill for the average homeowner is expected to increase in 2016 approximately $0.60 per month or $7.27 per year. Tax Codes

There are approximately 30 different tax codes in Lombard and each receives a different property tax bill depending on whether the area is included within a given taxing district's boundaries (i.e. school district, township, etc.).

Property Tax Allocation
The majority of the Village’s property taxes go toward educational services, which includes Districts 87, 44, and COD 502. The remainder goes toward the Village, other local governmental entities (York Township, library, and Park District), and DuPage County (including the Forest Preserve District and DuPage Airport Authority).
