Lombard Firefighters will once again wear pink shirts throughout the month of October, in an effort to raise awareness during breast cancer awareness month. Shirts will be available for public purchase, August 1 - 31, in order to raise funds for people receiving cancer treatment at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

Shirts will be available for purchase for $15 throughout August. All orders must be made by August 31, 2019. All proceeds will go to the Bhorade Cancer Center at Good Samaritan Hospital. To place orders please email Firefighter Bob Hopper at or call (708)769-6102.

“Every year, we have more and more people wanting a Lombard Fire Department pink t-shirt. It’s becoming very popular and we couldn’t be happier because each purchase directly benefits a Lombard resident or neighbor that is in cancer treatment,” said Lombard Firefighter/Paramedic Bob Hopper. “We love this town and we love being able to help people in need.”

The pink t-shirt fundraiser began in 2014 and since then has raised$10,823 for Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital.
