Below is information from the Village of Lombard, related to COVID-19, as of Wednesday, March 18. As the situation continues to unfold, this information is extremely subject to change.
Village Hall and municipal buildings closed to public foot traffic beginning today, Wednesday, March 18. It is the Village’s highest priority to maintain services to its residents. Village staff will continue to work on-site and remotely to continue offering all essential services.

- The Village will be adhering to State restrictions prohibiting indoor dining at local restaurants. During this difficult time, residents are encouraged to support our local businesses that are offering pick up and delivery. Specials and offers are available at www.facebook.com/lombardtakeout. Please contact local restaurants to see if they are able to provide services.
- Customers cannot consume alcoholic beverages if waiting for a pick up in a restaurant. The Executive Order mandates no on-site food or beverage consumption.
- All Committee meetings have been cancelled until further notice.
- The Village Board will meet for its regularly scheduled meeting on March 19, 2020, at 7 p.m., at Village Hall. Residents may watch this meeting as it happens at www.villageoflombard.org/live. Residents are encouraged to submit questions or comments to email@example.com if they wish to participate.
- Note: It is anticipated that the Village President will execute an emergency declaration on Friday, March 20th. A Declaration of Emergency will help the Village access Federal funding. In addition, in the event that future Village Board meetings were to be cancelled, if enacted, it would allow the Village to maintain certain administrative functions including the payments of bills and other routine requirements. Any executive orders implemented by the Village President will be accompanied by a press release at the time they are put into effect.
- The Village receives its water from DuPage Water Commission. The DWC is reminding customers that tap water is safe to use and drink. Water will continue to be available & no disruptions are expected. More information.
- In conjunction with other utilities in Illinois, the Village will not be terminating water service or penalizing customers who fall behind on water bill payments. The Village will work with residents and businesses during this difficult time.
