Winter Storm to Impact Area

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Chicagoland area, which could result in 3-7 inches of snow accumulation, depending on lake effect. Snow is expected to begin Friday evening and continue into Saturday evening. 

Lombard's Public Works crews will begin 12 hour shifts on Friday at 11 a.m., in anticipation of the storm. Residents are reminded that street parking is not allowed after 1" of snow accumulation and overnight street parking requests will be denied. More

Citizens help officer save woman from getting hit by train

Elderly Woman Saved From Train Accident

On Monday, Jan. 14, Lombard Police Officer Dan Herrera responded to reports of a vehicle on the railroad tracks at Grace & St. Charles. As he arrived, he observed two Lombard residents that had acted quick to assist the driver. The driver, a 96 year old woman, had been reported missing by her family earlier that day. The citizens and officer removed the woman from the railroad tracks, seconds before the vehicle was impacted by a train. More

Village Offices Closed MLK

Village Offices Closed on Monday

Village Offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 21, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Offices will reopen for regular business hours, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Waste Management will be operating on a delayed schedule due to the holiday.

Video Gaming Workshop January 24

Video Gaming Workshop Scheduled 

The Village Board will be hosting a workshop regarding video gaming on Thursday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m. at Village Hall. The purpose of the Village Board workshop will be to review the committee recommendations and begin initial Board discussion of the matter. No final action will be taken. All meetings are open to the public.
