Village Board Hosts Video Gaming Workshop

On Thursday, January 24, 2019 the Lombard Village Board of Trustees held a public workshop meeting to discuss video gaming. There were two options discussed by the Village Board during the workshop. One included placing an ordinance on a future Village Board agenda for a formal vote. The other included consideration of a non-binding referendum on the March 17, 2020 ballot. Upon conclusion of the discussion, no consensus on how to proceed was identified.  In response, staff was directed to draft language for both options for a future workshop. Updates will be available at

Avoid Freezing Pipes

Extreme cold during winter months can cause pipes to freeze and break, often causing damage to homes and an expensive repair bill. Residents may conveniently help prevent water pipes from freezing by allowing a cold water faucet to run at a trickle, approximately the width of a pencil point. Flowing water is less likely to freeze than stagnant water. The minimal cost of the water is a small price to pay to avoid potentially thousands of dollars in damage due to a broken water pipe.
