The Bureau of Public Education is coordinated by a full time Public Education Officer and is composed of two separate, yet related entities:
Youthful Firesetters Intervention
The Public Education program is reflective of the cost of fire prevention and safety education programs including the continued use of fire suppression personnel to perform the educational programs. As part of these safety education programs, there is a wide variety of programs that are presented to the over 4,700 children enrolled in the 13 schools and over 1,200 pre-school children enrolled in the area's Pre-schools and Day Care Centers. These programs are widely acclaimed public education programs aimed at disseminating information on various fire hazards and causes.
