About the Investigations Unit
Some of the criteria used to determine which cases merit follow-up investigation include suspect information, witness statements, vehicle information, physical evidence, method of operation and crime patterns.
The Investigation Unit of the Lombard Police Department is managed by Lieutenant Benny Ranallo and Sergeant Jason Chudzinski. The unit is staffed by eleven full-time investigators and a secretary. All of the investigators are juvenile officers and two are gang specialists.
