10/1/21 - R.W. Dunteman will have two crews working on Monday, October 4th. One crew will grind the surface on Finley from Wilson to Roosevelt. Although traffic will be maintained on Finley, motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes as possible. The second crew will pave Park from Greenfield to St. Charles, and also Prairie from Park to Main.
9/29/21 - On Thursday and possibly continuing on Friday, R.W. Dunteman will place the first layer of asphalt on Maple Street from Finley to Main; on Brewster Avenue from Maple to Edson; and on Edson Street from Brewster to Madison.
9/28/21 - Wednesday, September 29th, the contractor will grind the surface pavement on Maple (Finley to Main). Additionally, another crew will be replacing the remaining asphalt driveway aprons on streets that have already been milled.
9/27/21 - Tuesday, September 28th, the contractor will grind the surface pavement on Brewster (Maple to Edson) and Edson (Brewster to Madison). Additionally, a paving crew will place the first layer of pavement on Kenilworth (Westmore-Meyers east to the dead end), as well as on 2nd and 3rd (Kenilworth to Emerson), Park (St. Charles to Greenfield) and Prairie (Park to Main). Residents are asked to not park on the above mentioned streets, as it will impede the progress of the grinding and paving. No Parking signs are being placed in the parkways this afternoon.
9/24/21 - The contractor will grind the asphalt surface from all streets in this year’s program from Monday, September 27th through Friday, October 1st. A separate crew will pave the new asphalt surface from Wednesday, September 29th through Friday, October 8th. The contractor will post “no parking” signs immediately prior to their operations. This schedule is subject to weather and may change should adverse weather occur.
9/20/21 - Weather permitting, a contractor will begin work on Finley Road between Wilson Avenue and Ann Street tomorrow at 7:00 AM. The work being performed is concrete curb & gutter removal followed by framing the replacement curb and then new concrete will be poured. This work will be done over a period of three days. If the work is rained out tomorrow the contractor will begin on Wednesday at 7:00 AM. This is a moving operation, so there will be no street closures but motorists should seek alternate routes if possible. If not, please drive through the work zone with caution. Flaggers will be present and on-site for traffic control. After the concrete work is complete, the contractor will grind the roadway and resurface it.
