FAQs

How does this benefit me? The proposed project will improve drainage and drivability of the streets.

Will my road be closed? Some minor delays during staging of personnel and equipment may temporarily block traffic during construction. However, roads in this year’s project should remain open to traffic with one lane of traffic open at all times for residents, emergency personnel, deliveries and garbage and mail service. Through traffic will generally be discouraged.  

If my driveway is inaccessible where do I park? Residents whose driveway are impacted by the construction will receive prior notice and parking permits allowing overnight parking on the street for the duration of their driveway closure.

This Project Includes: The reconstruction of the concrete pavement on the following streets:

  • Hammerschmidt Elementary School – South entrance at the corner of New St.
  • W. Crystal Ave – between Main St. and N. Elizabeth St.
  • S. Highland Ave – between E. Washington Blvd and Division St.
  • E. Wilson Ave – at the corner of E. Wilson Ave. and S. Grace St.
  • S. La Londe Ave – between E. Harding Rd. and E. Madison St.
  • S. Grace St. – between E. Harding Rd. and E. Madison St.
  • E. Harrison Rd. – between E. Taylor Rd. and E. Harrison Rd.
  • S. Norbury Ave – at the corner of S Norbury Ave. and E Taylor Rd. 
  • E. Taylor Rd. – between S. Main St. and S. Charlotte St.
  • S. Charlotte St. - between E. Taylor Rd. and E. Madison St.
  • Miscellaneous concrete work (curb/patching) throughout the Village due to deteriorated panels and utility apron improvements
