Yorktown Mall Development

Exciting development is happening at Yorktown Mall!  To keep residents informed, the Village set up an email newsletter for Yorktown Construction News and Updates.

Yorktown Reserve is a proposed multi-family and commercial project at the vacant Carson's retail building.  Should the Caron's building be removed, over 1.3 million square feet of retail space would still remain at Yorktown Mall.  This project is proposed with approximately 621 apartment units, a park, and retail.  The project received a recommendation of approval at  the Plan Commission on February 20, 2023 for their zoning entitlements.  The Economic and Community Development Commission recommended approval of an economic incentive.  The Village Board will consider both on April 20, 2023.

The Summit at Yorktown, D.R. Horton: 90-townhomes approved at the site of the former Convenience Center (parcel 4 of Yorktown Commons).  The Village Board approved the project and economic incentive on October 20, 2022.  Townhome construction activity may begin in earnest in early 2023.
