Public Works Citizens Academy

Have you ever wondered how Lombard's water is treated?
How we maintain our streets? How we create maps of the Village?
If you answered yes to these questions, then you should participate in this program!

The Academy, which is geared towards adults (you must be 18 or older to participate), will be held over four consecutive weeks beginning April 15th and continuing throughout April and May with sessions conducted on Monday evenings, 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm. It will include interactive hands-on training activities, tours of Village facilities and presentations by Public Works staff. Participants will receive all necessary safety equipment, such as reflective vests and hardhats, and will have the opportunity to experience Public Works working conditions tailored to the program. Some classes will be held outdoors and may require walking, so participants will need to dress appropriately for each activity. For more detailed class information check out the complete schedule/syllabus.
