The Lombard Historical Commission is asking community members to submit nominations for this year's William Mueller Lombard Heritage Award
The Lombard Heritage Award recognizes six different categories that include individuals, organizations, programs and projects that are committed to preserving local history.
The award serves to inspire others to become more active in preserving Lombard's heritage. Nominations are being accepted for categories including: adaptive use/rehabilitation, advocacy/education, leadership/stewardship, lifetime achievement, new construction and restoration. Projects will be judged based on their community impact, level of difficulty and their degree of inspirational historic preservation.
Nomination forms and instructions are available at Lombard Village Hall or at www.villageoflombard.org/LombardHeritageAward. All nominations are due by Friday, July 31 and the winners will be announced during a future board meeting.
