The Lombard Post Office has announced that they will be adding an additional USPS Postal route to Lombard on Saturday, June 4, 2016. The new route will cause existing routes to shift and change.
This addition will result in the adjustment of Lombard’s existing thirty eight city routes, and a transitional phase that expected to last approximately 30 days. During this time, the Post Office asks for the cooperation and patience of Lombard residents as mail carriers learn the new routes, and new employees are trained. Between mail delivery shifts, employees will be required to study the new routes to help expedite the process. Lombard currently has thirty eight city routes and 5 rural routes.
Residents, who are accustomed to receiving mail at a specific time, may receive mail at a different time of day. Residents may also receive a new mail carrier. In addition, summer schedules may result in mail delivery time changes throughout the day.
The Lombard Post Office appreciates the cooperation of Lombard residents during this transitional phase. Please call the USPS customer service phone number at 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777) for more information, or if you have any questions.
