The Village is continuing to monitor reports of nearby and neighboring cities, that have been impacted by looting. As a result, residents may see an increased police presence until the broader situation stabilizes. Residents should be aware of this evolving situation and pay attention to their surroundings. Out of an abundance of caution, many businesses around the Yorktown area and on the Butterfield and Roosevelt Corridors remain closed for the day. Community members witnessing any criminal behavior or unusual situations should dial 9-1-1.

The Village of Lombard has been notified by nearby communities that they are experiencing vehicles and groups traveling along the Butterfield and Roosevelt Road Corridors, causing damage. The Village has been notified that Yorktown Center and many stores in the area have closed for the day, as a precaution.
The Village of Lombard will continue to monitor the situation closely. Please avoid the Yorktown area, including Fountain Square, as well as the Butterfield Corridor and shops along Roosevelt Road for the time being. Thank you for your cooperation.
