Lombard Public Works is hosting a public information meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., to discuss Phase II of the Roosevelt Road Water Main Lining Project.
Interested residents or business owners may attend at any time during the meeting to view a seven minute video presentation about the project, review exhibits, provide comments, and meet one-on-one with project representatives. The presentation will play continuously for the duration of the meeting and will be available online at www.38water.org following the open house.
Phase II of the project is anticipated to begin in March 2017 with a projected completion of October 2017. Intermittent lane closures are anticipated to begin in Spring 2017. Phase II of the project is expected to have a significant impact on the motoring public from Fairfield Avenue to Wisconsin Avenue, and alternative routes are encouraged throughout the duration of the project. The Village completed Phase I of the project (Finley Road to Fairfield Avenue) under budget and ahead of schedule in 2016.
The Roosevelt Road Water Main Lining Project is intended to reduce future water main breaks, provide greater worker safety, and will extend the life of existing water mains by up to 50 years.
