Residences are required to have a clearly posted address, that is 4" in height and facing the street of which the residence is addressed from.
Requirements are in place to better serve residents. In case of an emergency, having an address that is clearly visible from the street will help Police Officers or Firefighters identify a location as fast as possible. Clearly posted addresses also assist in mail delivery services.
Clearly stenciled painted addresses on curbs are allowed, however are not considered reliable because they are easily obscured by parked cars and snow.
Residents are encouraged to take a moment and make sure that they have a clearly visible address posted.
