The Village of Lombard is hosting its Spring Blood Drive on Wed., April 11 and Blood Drive Coordinator Carol Bauer is reminding residents that while there is always an excuse not to donate, donating blood is a random act of kindness that saves lives.
Along with Heartland Blood Centers, the Village of Lombard is asking dedicated blood donors to encourage friends and family to join them for the upcoming blood drive. All donors will receive a coupon for a free pint of Culver’s Custard and will be entered into a raffle to win a Yorktown gift card.
“I look forward to seeing our dedicated blood donors at each blood drive. Their dedication to helping others is truly inspiring,” said Carol Bauer. “But I would love to see new faces join the cause as well.”
The Spring Community Blood Drive is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Yorktown Center (outside of entrance 5 between Von Maur and the Eatery) and from 1:30 - 7 p.m. at Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson Ave.
Appointments are encouraged but walk-ins are welcome. For more information or to book a donation time slot, call Blood Drive Coordinator Carol Bauer at (630) 620-5712 or visit www.villageoflombard.org/blooddrives.
