The Village of Lombard is hosting a concert featuring American English, a popular Beatles tribute band, at the final 2018 Cruise Nights and Summer Concert Series event in downtown Lombard, on Saturday, August 25, with music beginning at 7 p.m.
In order to accommodate the anticipated large crowd size, the location of the stage will be moved for this one-time event.
The concert stage will be located in the intersection of Park Ave. & St. Charles Rd. The concert will be viewable from St. Charles Rd., between Park Ave & Main Street, as well as on S. Park Ave., between St. Charles Rd. and Michael McGuire Drive. Beginning at 3 p.m., St. Charles will be closed to through traffic from Elizabeth St. to Main St., with a complete closure of St. Charles at Park Ave. to Main Street.
Concert goers, aged 21 or older with proper identification, will be able to purchase alcohol from participating businesses for consumption within the defined concert area. No outside alcohol will be permitted.
Cruise Cars may begin parking and attendees may arrive any time after 4 p.m. Chairs are allowed. Port-o-let bathrooms will be available for concert goers in designated areas. Attendees are reminded that restrooms in businesses are for customers.
Parking will be available in the Hammerschmidt Lot, just east of the intersection of Main Street and St. Charles, as well as in the East Parkside Ave. and West Parkside Ave lots, south of the train tracks, and the 101 S. Main lot.
Free crafts and activities will be available at Kids’ Corner, and popcorn will be available for purchase from Lombard Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association, with all profits benefitting Lombard’s Shop-With-A-Cop program.
The concert is subject to weather conditions and there will not be an alternative location or rain out date.
