JingleBell Jubilee Offers Festive Family Fun in Lombard on December 1

JingleBell Jubilee 2018

Lombard community organizations are uniting to celebrate the holiday season on Saturday, Dec. 1, 5 – 8:30 p.m., in historic Downtown Lombard for the Lilac Village’s 13th Annual JingleBell Jubilee celebration.

At 5:30 p.m., Village President Keith Giagnorio and Lombard Park District President Dave Kundrot will kick-off the event by welcoming Santa’s arrival to Lilacia Park. After this brief introduction, the lighting of Lilacia Park will occur. Guests are highly encouraged to arrive early to this heavily attended event. It is recommended that guests are in place by 5:30 p.m., to ensure that they do not miss the arrival of Santa or the lighting of the park. Festivities will continue throughout the evening, hosted by various community organizations. A free holiday trolley will provide a warm and convenient connection between the below locations.

Lombard Park District’s Lilacia Park
Meet with Santa after his arrival and enjoy other festivities in the park including a bonfire pit, hot cocoa and cookies with Mrs. Claus, a free holiday train ride, and snacks. This year’s display will feature more than 500,000 lights. Free visits with Santa will be available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 6-8 p.m., beginning with JingleBell Jubilee and ending on Sunday, Dec. 23. The lights will be on display every night at 4:30 p.m., until Jan. 2. Visit for details.

Maple Street Chapel
Maple Street Chapel will host festive sing-a-longs beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Downtown Lombard
Stroll along Park Avenue and St. Charles Rd., to see real live dancers as they recreate scenes from “The Nutcracker” in store windows from 5 – 7 p.m.

Helen Plum Library
Hear performances from the Glenbard East Madrigals and Sorella Singers at 6:10 p.m., 6:50 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. A craft project will be available in Youth Services starting at 5 p.m., and refreshments will be served.

Lombard Historical Society
The Victorian Cottage Museum will host a “Candlelight Christmas Tour” from 6 - 8 p.m., in which participants will glimpse back in time to see a Christmas Eve during the Victorian times. Fun kid’s crafts, live music, cookies and punch will also be available in the Carriage House.
