The Lombard Police Department is participating in several upcoming fundraising events in support of the Illinois Special Olympics.
Lombard Police Officers will participate in the first of several events to raise funds for Illinois Special Olympics on Thursday, April 11 at Lombard’s Claim Jumper Restaurant, 92 Yorktown Shopping Center. “Tip- A-Cop” will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with Officers serving as hosts and waiters. All tips they receive will be donated to Illinois Special Olympics.
The Lombard Police Officers will be taking part in the annual “Cop-On-Top” on Friday, May 17 from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Lombard Dunkin Donuts locations including on Main Street, North Avenue, and at Yorktown Shopping Center. Additionally, Officers will be participating in the DuPage County Torch Run event that will pass through Lombard on Sunday, June 2, beginning at Main Street and Wilson Avenue heading north to Parkside. Please check the Village of Lombard’s social media sites for the approximate time.
