The Village will host its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Mon., May 27 at 10 a.m. in the Sunken Gardens, Lombard Common Park, located just east of the intersection of Grace and Maple streets.
Please note the time change for the 2019 event. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. Veterans of the Armed Services, local scouts and residents are invited to attend. The time change is due to heat concerns that frequently occur at the Memorial Day event. To help keep participants safe, the event was moved from noon, to 10 a.m. As a result, the flag raising ceremony will not be part of the event, as protocol requires flags to be raised at dawn to half-staff, and raised to full-staff briskly at noon. Anyone wishing to be present for the raising of the flags at noon, are welcomed to attend, independently of the ceremony.
Village Offices Closed for Memorial Day observance
