[ARCHIVED] Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire

Social Image Fire Department Update

On Wednesday September 23, 2020 at approximately 5:36 p.m., the Lombard Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the 600 Block of N. West Rd.

Arriving crews found a detached garage with a well involved fire. Two hose lines were immediately deployed and the fire was extinguished in approximately 10 minutes, however crews remained on the scene conducting overhaul, and extinguishing hotspots. The garage has been determined to be a complete loss. Two residents received minor injuries and were evaluated and treated on the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Lombard was assisted by the Elmhurst and Villa Park Fire Departments as well as the Addison and York Center Fire Protection Districts. The fire is under investigation by the Lombard Fire Investigation Unit. Please email with any questions.
