Communities across the United States recognize National Police Week, to honor and remember those law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as the family members, friends and fellow officers they left behind. Lombard Officers who were killed in the line of duty include John Frost, killed Sept. 1936; Louis Schuetz, killed July 30, 1933; and Allan Mollsen, killed Sept. 28, 1986.
As a sign of respect for the fallen, Lombard Officers will display a mourning band on their badges from May 9th – 15th.
