[ARCHIVED] Public Notice July 12 - 14: Law Enforcement Accreditation Assessment

Social Image Police Department Update

The Lombard Police Department has proudly been a Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) accredited department since 1991. By maintaining its accredited status, the Lombard Police Department continues to provide law enforcement service consistent with the highest ideals of the law enforcement profession. Lombard Police Chief Roy Newton has announced a team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc., will be conducting a virtual assessment to examine all aspects of the Lombard Police Department's policies and procedures, management, operations and support services. The assessment will start on Monday, July 12th and end on Wednesday, July 14th, 2021.

Verification by the Assessment Team that the Lombard Police Department meets the Commission's state-of-the-art standards is part of a voluntary process to retain accreditation-international recognition of law enforcement professional excellence.

Agency employees and the public are invited to offer comments on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Agency employees and the public may participate in the phone in session by dialing 1 (312) 626-6799 (Chicago) and enter meeting ID: 878 3799 6107 and passcode 888940.
