Posted on: August 3, 2021[ARCHIVED] Lombard Fire Department to host first Citizen's Fire Academy

The Lombard Fire Department invites Lombard citizens or people working in Lombard, aged 18 and older, to participate in its first Citizen’s Fire Academy, beginning September 8, 2021.The free program will be limited to ten participants and they will meet for five consecutive Wednesdays from 6:30. to 9:30 p.m.
The Academy provides an understanding of how the Lombard Fire Department responds to fire and medical emergencies. The program will provide participants with practical fire and life safety tips they can use at home. Classes will be conducted through informative sessions, presentation and hands-on demonstration by fire personnel.
The goal of the Citizen’s Fire Academy is to make a meaningful connection with the citizens of Lombard with the hopes of educating participants who will become advocates/allies of the Lombard Fire Department.
