The removal and replacement of sidewalk squares, curbs and driveway aprons in the Village will begin on Monday, August 8, 2022 (weather permitting), and is expected to continue for the remainder of the week. Schroeder & Schroeder is the contractor removing and replacing sidewalk squares and curbs.
If the sidewalk work impacts access to a driveway, residents will be unable to access their driveways for a few hours during the removal process, but all sidewalk squares in driveways will be backfilled with stone overnight. Once the concrete is poured for sidewalks and/or a driveway apron, residents will need to park on the street for five (5) days until the concrete through the driveway is fully cured.
Public Works staff have informed residents impacted and provided them overnight parking passes. All vehicles parked on the street overnight must display a parking permit issued by the Village.
If you are in need of additional passes or have any questions, please call the Public Works Department at 630-620-5740 or email publicworks@villageoflombard.org.
