[ARCHIVED] Fall Tree Planting Time Begins

Fall is in full swing, and did you know it is a great time for tree planting? Apex Landscaping is planting trees in Village parkways through Nov. 1st, for Lombard's Fall Tree Planting program. The Village will plant 298 trees from three nurseries over the next two weeks. After installation, the trees will be inspected and mulched by Forestry personnel with after care instruction door hangers left for the adjacent residents. Residents at locations where trees are scheduled to be planted were notified by mail in early September.

The Village conducts tree planting twice a year in spring and fall to replace parkway trees that have been removed if spacing exists for a new tree. Trees are replaced in the order of removal based on budget and tree availability. The current batch is replacing trees that were removed prior to September 2021.

If you have any questions regarding tree planting, please contact Public Works at (630) 620-5740 or publicworks@villageoflombard.org.
