Drive Sober or Get Pulled over

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over: Holiday Crackdown

From Friday, Dec. 20 – Wednesday, Jan. 1, Lombard Police Officers will be out in full force, seeking out alcohol and drug-impaired drivers. Law enforcement will show zero tolerance for drunk or drugged driving.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that from 2013 – 2017, there were 4,110 drunk-driving related deaths in the month of December.

Efforts to reduce impaired driving on our roads include an increased number of state and national messages about the dangers of impaired driving, combined with more officers enforcing live-saving seat belt, speeding and distracted driving laws.
