North Ave. Hotel

Public Hearing for North Ave. Hotel

A Public Hearing regarding a proposed Holiday Inn Express Hotel at 451 E. North Avenue, north of the Lombard Lagoon, will take place at the Plan Commission Meeting on Monday, January 27th, at 7 p.m., at Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson Ave. All meetings are open to the public and attendees will have the opportunity to provide public comment.

In response to a voluntary informational neighborhood meeting that took place on December 9, 2019, site plans for the project have significantly changed to address resident concerns. The developer’s need for perimeter building and landscape variances have been eliminated, as the proposed hotel has been relocated further north on the property, away from the Lombard Lagoon property.

The private property in question is zoned in the B4 Corridor Commercial District which allows for hotels as a permitted use. The Plan Commission discussion on the 27th will pertain to the conditional use request to build a 4 story building.

An FAQ and more information is available at www.villageoflombard.org/northavehotel. If you would like to provide your feedback and cannot attend the meeting, email communitydevelopment@villageoflombard.org.
