Fans Don't Let Fans Drive Drunk: Super Bowl Drunk Driving Crackdown


With the Super Bowl just around the corner, the Lombard Police Department is reminding football fans and party goers that officers will be out in force on game day to keep impaired drivers off the roads and to encourage more people to wear their seat belts.

If your Super Bowl celebration will involve alcohol or cannabis, don’t forget: “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and always “Click It or Ticket.”

Residents Warned About Social Security Scams


The Lombard Police Department is sharing tips on how to avoid nationwide telephone impersonation schemes where scammers pose as the Social Security Administration. Lombard Police and the Social Security Administration are sharing this information, in hopes of preventing these types of scams.

With the upcoming election on Tuesday, March 17th approaching, the Village of Lombard is reminding both businesses and residences of regulations pertaining to political campaign signs located within the Village.


North Ave. Hotel

Public Hearing for North Ave. Hotel


At a Plan Commission Public Hearing on Monday, January 27, 2020, a proposed Holiday Inn Express at 451 E. North Ave, north of the Lombard Lagoon, was unanimously recommended (6-0), pending 14 conditions. This item will be forwarded to the Village Board for consideration at their February 20, 2020 meeting. 9 p.m. routine

Avoid Thefts: Follow the 9 p.m. Routine


Lombard Police remind residents to remove valuables from vehicles, to lock vehicles and homes, and to turn on exterior lights, as part of a “9 p.m. routine” every night. These precautions have been shown to help deter thefts.
