I didn't know there were 20 cases in Lombard. What can I do to stay safe?
We are using the information from the new dashboard/map as an opportunity to remind residents that they can keep themselves and their families safe by following guidelines set forth by the CDC including:
- Do not leave your home for non-essential reasons
- If you must leave your home, maintain a minimum social distance of 6 feet between yourself and any persons that do not live in your home
- If you are sick, STAY HOME and quarantine yourself from your family if possible.
- Wash your hands often and thoroughly - for 20 seconds
- Do no touch your face (eyes, nose, or mouth) with unwashed hands
- Disinfect commonly touched areas often
What happens if people violate the Stay at Home Order?
The Lombard Police Department is asking the community to please adhere to the Stay at Home restrictions in place. Should people choose to violate these restrictions, they will be asked to disperse. We understand the inconvenience that the Stay at Home mandate brings with it, however the goal is to help save lives. Please help us keep you safe.
Where can I find more information? The Village will continue to share information regarding COVID-19 as they occur, or are made available on social, via email and on the Village's COVID-19 web page,
www.villageoflombard.org/covid19.
We will get through this together, #LombardStrong.
