Remaining Vigilant in Preventing the Spread of COVID-19

The CDC is reminding residents that one of the best ways to help keep yourself and your family safe is to wash your hands, for 20 seconds with soap and water, on a regular basis, and to not touch your face with unwashed hands. Watch Video

Be a Hero Blood Drives Continue 

Be a Hero blood drives are scheduled for May 20th and May 27th at the Yorktown Convenience Center. Blood donation is considered an essential activity and is exempt from the Stay-at-Home Mandate that is currently in place for Illinois. Safe social distancing measures will be in place to ensure donor safety. More information is available at villageoflombard.org/blooddrives.

Special Village Board Meeting

The Village will hold a Special Village Board Meeting on Thursday, May 21 at 6 p.m. While social distance restrictions are in place, residents may submit their comment for the meeting, without being in attendance. If you wish to offer Public Comment, please visit www.villageoflombard.org/publiccomment for full details and to complete and submit a comment form, e-mail communications@villageoflombard.org or call 630-620-5929. The Village requests that all written comments for inclusion in the public record be submitted by 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 21. The meeting will be broadcast live at www.villageoflombard.org/live, on Comcast TV6, and AT&T Channel 99. The agenda for this meeting, as well as previously filmed Village Board Meetings are available at www.villageoflombard.org/meetings.

DuPage County Health Department

The DuPage County Health Department COVID-19 dashboard, shows the number of lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in each municipality. As of May 15, there have been a total of 209 lab confirmed cases in Lombard. 

The best way you can protect yourself is to socially distance yourself from people outside of your home, and limit your potential exposure. Wash your hands regularly, for 20 seconds, using soap, and do not touch your face with unwashed hands.
