• Chamber of Commerce Survival Kids
  The Lombard Chamber of Commerce has organized survival kits featuring helpful and popular items from businesses around town. You can support your local businesses by purchasing a survival kit from the Chamber.

• DuPage County Small Business Relief Grant Program 
  Applications are being accepted for the DuPage County Small Business Relief Grant Program. The program is designed to assist small businesses and independent contractors that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Special Village Board Meeting

The Village will hold a Special Village Board Meeting on Thursday, May 21 at 6 p.m. While social distance restrictions are in place, residents may submit their comment for the meeting, without being in attendance. The Village requests that all written comments for inclusion in the public record be submitted by 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 21. The meeting will be broadcast live at www.villageoflombard.org/live, on Comcast TV6, and AT&T Channel 99. The agenda for this meeting, as well as previously filmed Village Board Meetings are available at www.villageoflombard.org/meetings.  

The agenda for this meeting does include a resolution seeking consideration of a localized/county approach to re-open business and resume civic activity on behalf of the Village of Lombard. This resolution is consistent with the position of the Illinois Municipal League and other surrounding towns in that it asks for the Restore Illinois Plan to be modified to take into account the differences between DuPage County and other areas of the State. The resolution asks for this to be done consistent with sound public health practices and a phased in approach. However, it is intended to allow for a more efficient and timely movement through the phases of the Restore Illinois Plan.

Be a Hero Blood Drives Continue 

Be a Hero blood drives are scheduled for May 20th and May 27th at the Yorktown Convenience Center. Blood donation is considered an essential activity and is exempt from the Stay-at-Home Mandate that is currently in place for Illinois. Safe social distancing measures will be in place to ensure donor safety. More information is available at villageoflombard.org/blooddrives.

DuPage County Health Department

The DuPage County Health Department COVID-19 dashboard, shows the number of lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in each municipality. As of May 18, there have been a total of 236 lab confirmed cases in Lombard. 

The best way you can protect yourself is to socially distance yourself from people outside of your home, and limit your potential exposure. Wash your hands regularly, for 20 seconds, using soap, and do not touch your face with unwashed hands.
