June 1, 2020: News from the Village of Lombard

The Village of Lombard continues to monitor regional reports of police activity targeted at suburban commercial properties, resulting in the vandalization of property and theft of merchandise. The Village has been notified that Target and DICK'S Sporting Goods have both decided to close for the day. Additionally, Yorktown Center will also remain closed on Tuesday, June 2. Please contact businesses directly with questions related to hours of operation.

As the situation throughout the region continues to evolve, we will continue to react and respond accordingly. Residents may notice an increased police presence, as a proactive measure. Should an unsafe situation develop, updates will be shared on the Village’s social platforms including Facebook and Twitter. Residents are reminded to always observe their surroundings and to call 9-1-1 if they witness or experience an unsafe or unusual situation.
