COVID-19 Updates

It is anticipated that the Chicago region, including Lombard, is on track to move from Phase 3 to Phase 4 of the State’s 5 Phase Reopen Illinois Plan, as early as June 26th. This action is pending continued trends of decreased COVID-19 statistics. Specific details on the implementation of how Phase 4 will be subject to rules from the Illinois Department of Public Health that have not yet been announced. The Village will continue to share updates and information related to COVID-19 as it becomes available at villageoflombard.org/covid19.

Park Avenue Patio in Downtown Lombard 
The Village has worked with local businesses to develop a shared outdoor eating space called Park Avenue Patio, in downtown Lombard.  Park Avenue Patio is a space designed for consuming food and beverages purchased to-go from local restaurants and taverns, while remaining in compliance with the State's COVID-19 regulations. The Patio area will be open Fridays, 3-10 p.m., Saturdays 11 a.m. - 10 p.m., and Sundays, 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Thank You Blood Donors! 

The Summer Blood Drive took place on Wednesday, June 17th at Yorktown and at the First Church of Lombard. A total of 81 units of blood were collected, with the potential to save up to 243 lives! A food drive hosted by State Representative Terra Costa Howard also collected approximately 300 pounds of food and cash donations to help local food pantries.

DuPage County Health Department

The DuPage County Health Department COVID-19 dashboard, shows the number of lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in each municipality. As of June 18, there have been a total of 385 lab confirmed cases in Lombard. 

The best way you can protect yourself is to socially distance yourself from people outside of your home, and limit your potential exposure. Wash your hands regularly, for 20 seconds, using soap, and do not touch your face with unwashed hands.
