101 South Main Street Update

The sale of the property at 101-109 S. Main Street has been finalized. The property has been purchased by H.P. Lilac Station LLC for a mixed-use retail and apartment complex. As the Village no longer owns the property, the commuter parking lot will no longer be available. In anticipation of this sale, the Hammerschmidt Parking Lot was expanded by 93 parking spaces in 2017 and 16 additional commuter parking spaces were added to the parking lot at 20 E. St. Charles in 2019. These additions were planned in order to help offset the commuter parking spaces in the 101 S. Main lot. For more information on the new development planned for 101 S. Main Street, visit www.villageoflombard.org/101southmain.

Commitment to Support Equality

Earlier this summer, the Village shared information regarding Police policies and practices drafted in response to inquiries submitted by interested individuals.  At that time, the Village affirmatively stated its commitment to stand united with fellow Lombardians against any and all acts of violence and racism within our community and to reject discrimination towards any person under any circumstance.

In honor of this commitment, the Village has revisited internal policies and police practices and made updates and policy refinements over the past several months.
