COVID-19 Cases Increase Cases of COVID-19 continue to rise throughout the State and region. The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) is monitoring key indicators to identify early but significant increases of COVID-19 transmission in Illinois, potentially signifying resurgence.
Potential Mitigation Measures Lombard is located in Region 8, which as of October 12th has reported 8 days of positivity increases with a 7% positivity rate, and 4 days of hospital admission increases. View Region 8 Update
Should a designated region show an increase of cases with a decrease in hospital capacity OR if a region should show 3 consecutive days of 8% positivity rate, the region will then be impacted by greater restrictions and mitigation measures placed on heavily trafficked locations, including businesses.
Call-To-Action The Village of Lombard is taking this call-to-action seriously and is encouraging all community members to follow safety protocols set forth by the CDC to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Help support your local businesses by acting responsibly to slow the spread of illness.

Halloween Recommendations and Reminders The Village is sharing reminders and recommendations from the Illinois Department of Public Health and the CDC regarding Halloween and trick-or-treating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
While the Village has annually recommended trick-or-treating hours from 3-7 p.m., to help keep our community safe, there is no official policy or ordinance in place with designated or enforceable hours, beyond recommended guidance. - The Village’s top priority is resident safety. Ultimately, each resident must make the decision as to whether or not they would like to engage in Halloween activities, and if so, how.
- If you choose to trick-or-treat on Halloween night, please take extra precautions to maintain social distance, wear masks, avoid touching of the face (mouth/nose/eyes), and use hand sanitizer often.
- Citizens not wishing to participate in trick-or-treating may turn off their porch lights and close their door to indicate their non-participation. Residents may also display a sign indicating that their house is not participating in trick-or-treating.
