Winter Weather Reminders from the Village


Street Parking During Weather Events
During winter weather events that result in 1" of snow accumulation or more, residential street parking is not allowed.

There are more than 166 miles of road that must be plowed and salted in Lombard. Parking on the street slows down the plows and is highly discouraged during any winter weather event.

Overnight Parking Requests 
Overnight parking is not permitted on Village streets. Residents may request permission online from the Lombard Police Department for a temporary allowance. During winter weather events with 1" of snow accumulation, overnight parking requests will not be granted.

Results of Thanksgiving Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign


The Lombard Police Department is announcing results from the Thanksgiving Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket Campaign, that focused on cracking down on drunk and impaired drivers, and seatbelt violators. 

The campaign resulted in 2 DUI Arrests, and 7 driving with a suspended or not-valid license arrests. Additionally, 120 citations were issued including: 38 seat belts violations, 3 car seat violations, 31 speeding violations, 20 cell phone violations, and 28 others.

ComEd Assistance for Small Businesses 


ComEd's Small Business Assistance Program provides eligible small business customers that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and are past due on their energy bills, with a one-time grant equal to 30 percent of their total ComEd balance (up to $1,000) for a limited time.

Village Board to Discuss Video Gaming Advisory Referendum Question


The Village Board will be discussing the results of the non-binding advisory referendum question regarding video gaming at a meeting on December 3. Submit public comments by 5 p.m. on Dec. 3rd.


COVID-19: Reminders and Information from the DuPage County Health Department 


New COVID-19 Testing Site in Villa Park 
DuPage County is now offering community-based COVID-19 testing at the Odeum Expo Center in Villa Park. Testing is free but limited tests are available per day. This is a drive-thru testing site where individuals will give themselves a nasal swab test with instructions from staff. Learn more about other COVID-19 testing opportunities, from the DuPage County Health Department.

DuPage County Dashboard

The DuPage County Health Department COVID-19 dashboard, shows the number of lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in each municipality. As of December 3rd, there have been 2,376 reported cases in Lombard. 

Traveling During a Pandemic
If you think you have may been exposed to COVID-19 while traveling, take extra care for 14 days after travel. Stay home as much as possible, avoid being around people - especially those at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19, and consider getting tested. More information is available at www.cdc.gov/COVIDtravel.
