Lombard Village Board Meetings to Begin at 6 p.m.


Beginning with tonight's (January 7th) meeting, Lombard Village Board Meetings will begin at 6 p.m. Meetings previously began at 7 p.m.  Meetings can be watched live on Comcast Channel 6, AT&T 99, and at www.villageoflombard.org/live.  Archived videos may be viewed at www.villageoflombard.org/meetings. 


Blood Drive January 18

Winter Blood Drive: January 13


The Village’s Annual Winter Blood Drive is Wednesday, Jan. 13. The blood drive will  8 a.m. - 1 p.m., at the lower level of Yorktown outside of Von Maur. The blood drive will then move locations to the First Church of Lombard Fellowship Hall, at 220 S. Main Street, from 1:30 - 7 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred. Redevelopment Projects 


At the Village Board Meeting on January 7th at 6 p.m., the Village Board will consider plans for two redevelopment projects, including a new library at the location of the former Mr. Z’s property at 401 S. Main Street and a new Golf Social development at 600 E. Butterfield Road, formerly the Northern Baptist Theological Seminary. An overview of each of these proposals will be offered at the meeting.

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Holiday Campaign Results


The holiday drive sober or get pulled over campaign began December 18 and ended January 4th, 2021. During that time, grants funded extra patrols which allowed for 87.75 hours of dedicated seat belt enforcement and 39.75 hours of dedicated impaired driving enforcement. The drive sober or get pulled over campaign results include 3 DUI arrests and 151 citations.

Holiday Light Recycling and Free Tree Pick-up  


Free Holiday Tree Pick Up Jan. 4 - 15 
Residents may place holiday trees, free of tinsel and decorations, at their curbsides, January 4-15, for free disposal.

Light Recycling Through Jan. 18 
Old or unwanted holiday lights may be dropped off in a bin at Lombard Public Works, 1051 S. Hammerschmidt Avenue, to be recycled by Elgin Recycling. The light collection will run through January 18th. Lights should be placed in the bin located in front of the building and is accessible at any hour. Remove plastic ornamentals and bags from the wiring to prevent entangling in the processing machinery.
