Mapping Mondays on Social Media

Over the next few weeks, the Village will be sharing #MappingMonday posts on Facebook and Twitter about the interactive maps and how we are using technology like G.I.S. to track trends and plan long term projects.

What is G.I.S.? Geographic Information Systems is a collection of hardware, software, & personnel that uses map data for planning, analyzing, and viewing based on location. Do you use Google Maps, Yelp, Waze or any apps like that? Then YOU are a GIS user! See Lombard's interactive maps at www.villageoflombard.org/maps.
