Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over

With Fourth of July around the corner, Lombard Police are reminding residents about the most important holiday tradition - driving sober. To help keep our roads safe, Lombard Police will have extra enforcements on the road cracking down on drunk and impaired drivers June 17 - July 6, including a roadside safety checkpoint on Friday, July 2nd on Roosevelt Rd.

construction hours

Summer Construction Hours

In most cases, summer outdoor construction activity, including lawn maintenance, is permitted between from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, within 300 feet of a residential structure.

While the Village informs contractors of these regulations, we understand that isolated violations may occur. The Village often receives complaints of these situations after the fact, when little can be done. Residents with construction noise complaints should call Code Enforcement at 630-620-5757 at the time of occurrence. If the complaint is during overnight or weekend hours, call 9-1-1 so an officer may be dispatched to the scene.
