Cruise Nights Finale - This Saturday, Sept. 4
American English Beatles Tribute

The final Cruise Night and concert of the season are this Saturday, Sept. 4, featuring Beatles tribute band, American English. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. Concert-goers, aged 21 or older with proper identification, will be able to purchase alcohol from participating licensed businesses for consumption outdoors within the defined concert area.  No outside alcohol will be permitted. Be advised that road closures begin at 3 p.m. They include St. Charles closed to through traffic from Elizabeth St. to Main St., with a complete closure of St. Charles at Park Ave. to Main Street. Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over

The Lombard Police Department will be conducting a traffic safety campaign this weekend, focusing on drunk, unbuckled and distracted drivers. Before the fun starts this Labor Day, remember to designate a sober driver and don’t let friends or family members drive drunk. Even a small amount of alcohol can impair judgment and reaction times, making driving unsafe.

Service Update - Labor Day

Village offices will be closed on Monday, September 6, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. There will be no refuse collection on Monday, and collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.

The Village is hosting a September 11th Remembrance Ceremony to honor the 20th anniversary of 9/11. The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 9 a.m. at the Public Safety Plaza at Village Hall, 255 E Wilson Ave. Learn more.

We Remember Blood Drive

The Village of Lombard is co-hosting two blood drive events on Wednesday, September 8. 

TWO LOCATIONS TO CHOOSE FROM! 

  • YORKTOWN CENTER - In the mobile coach parked on the lower level Mall Entrance outside VonMaur from 8am - 1pm 
  • COMMUNITY DRIVE - First Church of Lombard 
    220 S. Main St. in Hatfield Hall - from 1:30pm - 7pm

Senior of the Year Award

The Village of Lombard is seeking nominations for its 16th Annual Senior of the Year Awards, which recognizes outstanding seniors who volunteer or go above and beyond to positively benefit the Lombard community. 

Nominees must have an incorporated Lombard home mailing address and be 65 years of age or older. Nominations must include a brief statement, 50 words or less, on why the nominee should be considered, as well as a short biography of the nominee. Deadline has been extended to September 10. Winners will be selected by the Village’s Community Relations Committee. Learn More.

National Preparedness Month (NPM) is an observance each September to raise awareness about the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies that could happen at any time. The 2021 theme is “Prepare to Protect. Preparing for disasters is protecting everyone you love.” Each week focuses on a different way you and you family can approach preparedness.
