Lombard Police Earns 10th National Law Enforcement Accreditation with Excellence Status

The Lombard Police Department is proud to announce that it has been awarded national accreditation for the 10th term and was selected to receive the Accreditation with Excellence Award by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). CALEA Accreditation is known as the gold standard in public safety, with less than 5% of accredited police departments earning the Excellence Award.

“This reaccreditation, now more than ever, shows our consistency, commitment, and ongoing focus on increasing community confidence in the policies and practices of our department,” commented Lombard Police Chief Roy Newton. “I attribute this award to the professionalism and assurance to excellence our police officers work towards every day to serve our community under the highest standards in public safety.”
