Senior Fair on October 5th at the Madison Meadow Athletic Center

The Village of Lombard is inviting residents to attend its 16th Annual Senior Fair on Wednesday, October 5, at the Madison Meadow Athletic Center, 500 E. Wilson Avenue, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Popular services offered will include blood pressure screenings, flu shots, hearing screenings, COVID-19 vaccines/boosters, glucose screenings, DMV services and more! 

Vendors interested in participating must complete and submit their application by Friday, September 23. 

Child Passenger Safety Week

It's Child Passenger Safety Week! The focus is to raise awareness and encourage all parents and caregivers to ensure their children are riding in the correct seat.

The Lombard Police Department will also participate in national Child Passenger Safety Week with stepped-up enforcement of child passenger safety laws through Sept 24th to help ensure the protection of young children traveling in our community.

Lombard Shredding Event this Saturday, Sept. 24th

To offer residents a safe option to discard documents with personal information, State Senator Suzy Glowiak Hilton is hosting a shredding event on Saturday, Sept. 24th. The event will be held at Lombard Village Hall (255 E Wilson St) from 9 a.m. to noon or when trucks are full. Attendees are asked to enter the complex on Wilson Avenue.

Lombard Firefighters to Host Pink T-Shirt Fundraiser for Breast Cancer

The Lombard Fire Department and Lombard Firefighters Union 3009 are once again hosting a pink t-shirt fundraiser to raise funds for Bhorade Cancer Care Center at Good Samaritan Hospital. Shirts will be available for purchase on Saturday, October 8, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Rock Bottom (94 Yorktown Ct) in Lombard. 

Shirts are $20 and are available in sizes small - XXL. All proceeds will go to the Bhorade Cancer Center at Good Samaritan Hospital.
