Village Introduces New App to Address Citizen Concerns

The Village has launched a new online reporting platform called SeeClickFix. This tool allows users to report their concerns directly to the Village by using an online map or an application on their smartphones.

SeeClickFix is an easy way to report non-emergency issues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Use SeeClick Fix to report concerns such as potholes, street lights, graffiti, sidewalk trip hazards, storm drain issues, code violations, and more. Simply take a photo of the problem (or just enter a brief description), and Village staff will address the issue. You will get an update via email on what is being done to resolve your reported concern.

View this SeeClickFix Video and learn more on the Village's Report a Concern page.

Lombard Police Kick-Off Thanksgiving Enforcement Campaign

As millions of motorists hit the road to celebrate Thanksgiving, Illinois law enforcement will be working around the clock to make sure holiday travelers are buckled up and driving safely. The Lombard Police Department is joining the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Illinois State Police to remind motorists to “Click It or Ticket” during the Thanksgiving Enforcement Campaign for safe and sober driving from Nov. 18 through Nov. 28.

The goal of this high-visibility effort is to reduce motor vehicle crashes and the resulting injuries and fatalities.

Keep the Wreath Red This Holiday Season

As the holiday season begins, the Lombard Fire Department will once again participate in the "Keep the Wreath Red" program. This holiday fire prevention program serves as a visual reminder for residents to take additional safety measures as they decorate for the holidays.

On Thanksgiving Day, Lombard firefighters will display wreaths with all red bulbs outside of each fire station. If a fire occurs in our community that is attributed to holiday decorations, firefighters will replace a red bulb with a white bulb. This display will continue through January 1, 2022. Our community’s goal is to keep the wreaths red.

Lombard Fire Department Awarded "Run of the Month"

The Lombard Fire Department was recently awarded Elmhurst Hospital’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) “Run of the Month” for July-August 2022.

On Aug. 3, Lombard Fire Department Paramedics Ryan Carlson, Bob Hopper, Brennen Legan, Joel Montiel and Joe Shark were dispatched to a residence where a 61-year-old male was complaining of chest pain. The patient was moved to the ambulance, where his condition changed and he became unresponsive. Testing showed the patient was experiencing a heart attack. Paramedics treated the patient with CPR, defibrillation, cardioversion, breathing assistance and medication. He was transported to the Elmhurst Hospital Emergency Department for further evaluation and treatment. The patient was released from Elmhurst Hospital to a rehabilitation facility 19 days later.

Elmhurst Hospital selected this run because our Lombard Firefighters/Paramedics’ actions exceeded the call of duty in the field and their excellent communication.
