Cruise Nights Series Finale this Saturday Featuring 7th Heaven 


The FINAL Cruise Night & Summer Concert of the season is this Saturday, Aug. 26th, featuring 7th Heaven. To accommodate the anticipated large crowd size, the concert stage will be located just west of the intersection of St. Charles Road and Main Street. The show starts at 6:00 p.m. 


Attendees may arrive any time after 4 p.m., and chairs are allowed. Concert-goers, aged 21 or older with proper identification, will be able to purchase alcohol from participating licensed businesses for consumption outdoors within the defined concert area.
No outside alcohol will be permitted.


St. Charles Road Closure

Be advised that road closures begin at 3 p.m. They include St. Charles closed to through traffic from Elizabeth St. to Main St., with a complete closure of St. Charles at Park Ave. to Main Street.

Nominate a Senior Citizen for Village Recognition


The Village of Lombard is seeking nominations for its 18th Annual Senior of the Year Awards, which recognizes outstanding seniors who volunteer or go above and beyond to positively benefit the Lombard community.


 Nominees must have an incorporated Lombard home mailing address and be 65 years of age or older. Nominations must include a brief statement, 50 words or less, about why the nominee should be considered, as well as a short biography of the nominee. Winners will be selected by the Village’s Community Relations Committee.


All nominations must be received by 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 6, 2023, for consideration. The Community Relations Committee will vote for the winner on Monday, September 11, 2023. Nominees and winners will be notified and announced publicly.

Labor Day Campaign for Safe and Sober Driving 


As we near the end of summer, the Lombard Police Department reminds drivers to drive sober and help save lives. From now through Labor Day weekend, officers will be stepping up efforts focused on impaired, unbuckled and distracted drivers.


“Our first priority is to keep people safe, so we’re asking everyone to plan ahead for a sober ride home if they’ll be drinking or using another impairing substance,” said Sergeant Tom Balsitis.

Save the Date: Village to Host September 11 Ceremony 


The Village of Lombard invites residents and community members to attend its 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on September 11 at 9:00 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the Public Safety Plaza, outside of Village Hall on 255 E. Wilson Street. The purpose of the ceremony is to honor the memory of the nearly 3,000 lives lost during the terrorist attacks on September 11 in New York, Washington D.C. and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.


“As we come together to remember the events of September 11, we stand united in our promise to never forget the sacrifices made and the lives lost on that day,” shared Lombard Fire Chief Rick Sander.
