Celebrating Lombard's 150th: Thank You Lombard! 

At a Special Village Board Meeting at the Maple Street Chapel on Thursday, August 1, the Village's 150th birthday was recognized by the Board's announcement of items that will be sealed in Lombard's Sesquicentennial Time Capsule. After the meeting, community members were invited to an ice cream social at the Lombard Historical Society, where a group photo was taken. The photo will also be added to the time capsule. Thank you to everyone who celebrated Lombard's 150th birthday!

Meet Thor at Citizens Police Academy

Sign Up For Lombard's Citizen's Police Academy 


The Lombard Police Department invites citizens living or working in Lombard to participate in Lombard’s 29th Citizen’s Police Academy, beginning Sept. 10, 2019. The academy provides an understanding of modern police procedures and the challenges offers face.

Participants will get hands-on experience of police work, and will learn about topics including traffic stops, firearm training, search and seizure laws, police dog protocols and training, and more!

Fire Department Pink T-Shirts Available For Purchase 


Lombard Firefighters will once again wear pink shirts throughout the month of October, in an effort to raise awareness during breast cancer awareness month. Shirts will be available for public purchase, August 1 - 31, in order to raise funds for people receiving cancer treatment at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

Shirts will be available for purchase for $15 throughout August. All orders must be made by August 31, 2019. All proceeds will go to the Bhorade Cancer Center at Good Samaritan Hospital. To place orders please email Firefighter Bob Hopper at LFDPINK@yahoo.com or call (708)769-6102.

Recreational Cannabis 101 Workshop


The consideration of zoning associated with future recreational cannabis facilities was recently discussed by the Village Board at a Recreational Cannabis 101 Workshop on Wednesday, July 31 at 7 p.m., at Village Hall. Recommendations will go before the Plan Commission on Thursday, August 29th.

Lombard Police will be participating in this year's Labor Day, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign, from Aug. 16 through the Sept. 3, including a roadside safety check on Butterfield Rd. on the evening of Saturday, Aug. 17.


Save the Date: American English Returns as Cruise Nights Season Finale Closing Band 


Lombard will once again be hosting a large scale American English concert, in the intersection of S. Park Ave., and St. Charles Rd., on Saturday, August 24, to mark the end of the 2019 Cruise Nights and Summer Concert season.
