American English Concert: August 24


Downtown Lombard will host an American English Concert this Saturday night, as the 2019 Lombard Cruise Night's and Summer Concerts season finale. 

St. Charles Road will be closed at Elizabeth Street (open to residents and cruise cars only), beginning at 3 p.m. Cruise car parking can begin at 4 p.m. See cruise car map below.

Meet Thor at Citizens Police Academy

Residents Encouraged to Sign Up For Citizen's Police Academy


The Lombard Police Department invites citizens living or working in Lombard to participate in Lombard’s 29th Citizen’s Police Academy, beginning Sept. 10, 2019. The academy provides an understanding of modern police procedures and the challenges offers face.

Participants will get hands-on experience of police work, and will learn about topics including traffic stops, firearm training, search and seizure laws, police dog protocols and training, and more!

Honor a Worthy Senior Citizen for Village Recognition! 


Do you know a senior citizen that deserves some recognition? Maybe a family member or neighbor that deserves a thank you? Nominate them for 14th Annual Senior of the Year Awards!

Nominees and winners will be recognized at the Village's Senior Fair on October 2, at the Madison Meadow Athletic Center. 

Nominees must have an incorporated Lombard home mailing address and be 65 years of age or older. Nominations must include a brief statement, 50 words or less, on why the nominee should be considered, as well as a short biography of the nominee.

Pink T Shirt Orders Due by August 31


Orders for the fire department's pink shirts are due by August 31!  Shirts will be available for purchase for $15 throughout August. All orders must be made by August 31, 2019. All proceeds will go to the Bhorade Cancer Center at Good Samaritan Hospital. To place orders please email Firefighter Bob Hopper at LFDPINK@yahoo.com or call (708)769-6102.
