Still Time To Register for Citizens' Police Academy! The Lombard Police Department invites citizens living or working in Lombard to participate in Lombard’s 29th Citizen’s Police Academy, beginning Sept. 10, 2019. The academy provides an understanding of modern police procedures and the challenges offers face.
Participants will get hands-on experience of police work, and will learn about topics including traffic stops, firearm training, search and seizure laws, police dog protocols and training, and more!

9/11 Blood Drive and Moment of Silence We Remember Blood Drive The Village will join with organizations across the country to encourage blood donations, in honor of those who lost their lives in 9/11. The We Remember Blood Drive will take place Wednesday, Sept. 11, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Yorktown Shopping Center and 1:30 - 7 p.m. at Lombard Village Hall.
9/11 Moment of Silence The Lombard Fire Department invites residents to attend a brief ceremony and moment of silence in honor of those who lost their lives in 9/11. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 8:45 a.m., at Fire Station 45, 50 E. St. Charles Rd.

Lombard's Senior Fair: October 2 2019 Senior Fair The Village's 2019 Senior Fair will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Madison Meadow Athletic Center. The event was previously held at Lombard Common Park. Attendees of all ages will be able to gather information helpful to senior citizens, enjoy complementary services, get a flu shot, and more.
Nominate Someone for Senior of the Year By Sept. 6 Do you know a Lombard resident, aged 65 or older, who gives back to the community? If so, nominate them for the 2019 Senior of the Year! All nominees will receive recognition and an award. One Senior Man and one Senior Woman of the Year will be selected to ride in the 2020 Lilac Time Parade.
Village Seeking Vendors for Senior Fair The Village is looking for vendors for the 2019 Senior Fair! Vendors are asked to provide a free service or free information for attendees. For-profit vendors must pay a $100 vendor fee. Not-for-profit vendors are free. All vendors must submit an applications for approval, available at villageoflombard.org/seniorfair.

Recreational Cannabis Update The Village of Lombard will continue its review of potential regulations pertaining to the sale of recreational cannabis, at a special meeting of the Lombard Plan Commission.
